The Longines Legend Diver, reference L3.764.4.99.6, is one of the most authentic and historically considered dive watches in the current market, a direct tribute to the legendary 1959 original that introduced the world to Longines' ingenious internal rotating bezel, a design so ahead of its time that it remains entirely relevant today. This certified pre-owned example from 2025 is offered in very good condition and comes with its full original set, including box, papers, and all original accessories.
Crafted in polished and brushed stainless steel, the L3.764.4.99.6 presents the Legend Diver in a beautifully proportioned 39mm round case that stays faithful to the footprint of the original 1959 model. The twin crown design is the watch's most distinctive and immediately recognisable feature: one crown at 3 o'clock for time setting, and one at 2 o'clock operating the bidirectional internal rotating bezel concealed beneath the sapphire crystal, a Longines invention that protects the bezel from accidental manipulation with a simple elegance that no external bezel can replicate. Certified to ISO 6425 Diver's Watch standards and water resistant to 300 metres.
The grey dial is clean and purposeful, with elongated luminescent Arabic numerals, rhodium-plated arrow hands coated with Super-LumiNova, and a dial flange in matching grey completing a layout that is as legible as it is classically resolved.
Powering the watch is the Longines Calibre L888.6, an exclusive in-house self-winding movement with a monocrystalline silicon balance spring, certified as a chronometer by COSC, beating at 25,200 vibrations per hour with an outstanding 72-hour power reserve. A movement that combines modern materials with traditional Swiss watchmaking precision.
The watch is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet with double security folding clasp and micro adjustment system.
