The Omega Seamaster 1948, reference 511.12.38.20.02.001, is a masterfully considered tribute to the original Seamaster of 1948, produced in a strictly limited edition of just 1948 pieces to celebrate the 70th anniversary of one of Omega's most beloved and enduring collections. This certified pre-owned example from 2019 is offered in excellent condition and comes with its full original set, including box, papers, and all original accessories.

Crafted in stainless steel, the 511.12.38.20.02.001 presents the Seamaster 1948 in a beautifully authentic 38mm round case that stays faithful to the dimensions and proportions of the original reference, with a domed sapphire crystal, an open caseback revealing the movement within, and a case profile that captures the gentle elegance of post-war Swiss watchmaking with complete conviction. Water resistant to 30 metres, and as wearable today as it would have been in 1948.

The silver dial is serene and classically composed, with mixed applied hour markers evoking the style of the original, delicate feuille-shaped hands, and a small seconds subdial that gives the dial its distinctive character and its direct connection to the timepieces that defined Omega's identity in the late 1940s. A dial that is simultaneously historical and entirely contemporary, the finest tribute Omega could have paid to its own heritage.

Powering the watch is the Omega Calibre 8804, a high-performance Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement with small seconds, METAS certified for outstanding precision and exceptional resistance to magnetic fields exceeding 15,000 gauss. The finest movement technology available in 2018, inside a case that celebrates 1948.

The watch is delivered on its original leather strap, completing a package that is as historically considered as it is mechanically accomplished.
