Crafted entirely in Oystersteel, the 216570 features a commanding 42mm Oyster case water resistant to 100 metres, paired with a fixed 24-hour graduated bezel that works in tandem with the watch's most iconic feature: the bold orange "Freccione" 24-hour hand that sweeps around the dial once every 24 hours, allowing the wearer to distinguish day from night at a single glance. A feature as purposeful as it is visually distinctive.
The black dial is deep, clean, and exceptionally legible, with large luminescent Maxi hour markers and hands, a date display at 3 o'clock, and the characteristic open centre seconds hand that gives the Explorer II its unmistakable professional character. Bold, direct, and built for environments where precision is not optional.
Powering the watch is the Rolex Calibre 3187, a highly accomplished in-house automatic movement featuring a Parachrom hairspring for outstanding resistance to magnetic fields and shocks, and a 48-hour power reserve. The dedicated Explorer II calibre, designed specifically for the demands of cave exploration and polar expeditions.
The watch is fitted with the Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock safety clasp and Glidelock extension system, offering a secure and comfortable fit for any adventure.
