The IWC Portugieser Yacht Club Chronograph reference IW390701 is a powerful and elegant certified pre-owned luxury watch, presented in new condition with original box and papers (full set). Designed to combine nautical inspiration with refined chronograph engineering, this model stands out for its bold proportions, excellent legibility, and robust construction.
Housed in a substantial 44.6 mm stainless steel case, the Yacht Club Chronograph offers a strong, confident wrist presence while remaining balanced and comfortable thanks to the ergonomic Portugieser case design. The polished and brushed finishes enhance the watch’s sporty yet sophisticated character, making it suitable for both active use and everyday wear.
The blue dial delivers a rich, modern aesthetic with excellent contrast. Large applied hour markers and bold hands are filled with luminous material to ensure optimal readability in all lighting conditions. The chronograph layout features a combined 12-hour and 60-minute totaliser at 12 o’clock, offering intuitive and precise elapsed-time reading. A small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock and a date window at 3 o’clock complete the well-balanced and highly functional dial design.
Powering the watch is the IWC in-house automatic calibre 89361, a robust chronograph movement developed for durability and precision. Featuring a column-wheel chronograph mechanism, this calibre delivers smooth operation and a power reserve of approximately 68 hours, making it well suited for daily wear. The movement can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back, showcasing IWC’s refined finishing.
This reference is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet, enhancing durability and reinforcing the watch’s nautical and sporty identity. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial, and the solid case construction ensures water resistance suitable for maritime use, in line with the Yacht Club name.
