Here is one of the most exclusive and iconic models in the Daytona collection: the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ref. 116506 in 950 platinum, recognizable by its sumptuous Ice Blue dial and chocolate brown ceramic bezel. Produced in 2016 and delivered as a full set, this piece is offered in very good condition and is currently available in Geneva.
Created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Daytona in 2013, this reference marked a turning point in the collection's history by introducing platinum as a precious metal for the first time. The 40 mm Oyster case in solid platinum is at once powerful, refined, and weighty in the hand—a sensation that only this precious metal can provide.
The Ice Blue dial is reserved exclusively for Rolex models in platinum. Here, it is beautifully balanced with its azure counters (12-hour, 30-minute, and small seconds subdials) and luminescent applied hour markers. The chocolate brown Cerachrom bezel, ultra-resistant to scratches and UV rays, adds a refined and sporty contrast.
This Daytona is powered by the in-house caliber 4130, a Superlative Chronometer certified automatic chronograph movement renowned for its reliability, robustness, and 72-hour power reserve.
