The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore "Safari", reference 26170ST.OO.D091CR.01, is the Offshore at its most adventurous, swapping the usual dark, brooding palette for a light, sun-bleached look that instantly earned it its collector nickname. This certified pre-owned example from 2009 is offered in very good condition and comes with its full original set, including inner and outer boxes, warranty booklets, and a leather strap.
Crafted in stainless steel, the 26170ST features the unmistakable 42mm Royal Oak Offshore case with its octagonal bezel and signature exposed screws, protected by a sapphire crystal and a closed caseback. Water resistant to 100 metres, it carries all the muscular presence that made the Offshore a legend, with a lighter attitude to match.
The white dial is the heart of the "Safari" character, with Arabic numeral hour markers, stick hands, a date display, and chronograph counters, with small seconds at 12 o'clock. Fresh, legible, and refreshingly different from the Offshores most people picture.
Powering the watch is the Audemars Piguet Calibre 3126/3840, a self-winding chronograph movement beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offering a 50-hour power reserve. A proper chronograph engine for a watch built to be worn, not just admired.
The watch is fitted with a rubber strap, a comfortable and sporty choice that suits the Offshore's adventurous spirit perfectly, whether in town or far off the beaten track.
