The Cartier Santos de Cartier Large, reference WSSA0062, is the iconic square-cased wristwatch that started it all in 1904, reinterpreted here in a breathtaking graduated green dial configuration that gives one of watchmaking's most legendary designs a vivid and contemporary new identity. This certified pre-owned example from 2025 is offered in very good condition and comes with its full original set, including box, papers, original Cartier leather strap, and Cartier folding buckle.
Crafted in polished and brushed stainless steel, the WSSA0062 presents the Santos in its large format, with the signature exposed square screws on the bezel and lugs, seamlessly curved horns, and a beautifully architectural 39.8mm case that has defined the Santos family for over a century. The heptagonal crown set with a faceted blue synthetic spinel adds a quintessentially Cartier touch of colour and refinement.
The graduated green sunburst dial is where this reference truly captivates, shifting from a deep, rich green at the centre to a lighter, more luminous hue towards the outer edge in a gradient effect that rewards every glance. Applied silver-toned Roman numerals, rhodium-finished sword-shaped hands coated with green Super-LumiNova, and a discreet date window at 6 o'clock complete a dial that is as bold as it is refined.
Powering the watch is the Cartier Calibre 1847 MC, a reliable in-house automatic movement with a 40-hour power reserve, water resistant to 100 metres and fitted with Cartier's clever QuickSwitch strap interchangeability system.
