The Cartier Santos de Cartier, reference WSSA0063, is the medium model expression of the iconic Santos collection, born from a conversation between Louis Cartier and aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont in 1904 and widely considered one of the first purpose-built wristwatches ever made. This certified pre-owned example from 2026 is offered in very good condition, delivered on its original blue alligator leather strap with Cartier folding buckle.
Crafted in polished and brushed stainless steel, the WSSA0063 presents the Santos in its beautifully proportioned medium format, with a square case measuring 35.1 x 41.9mm and just 8.83mm in height, the signature exposed square screws on the bezel and lugs, and a heptagonal crown set with a faceted blue synthetic spinel cabochon. Clean, architectural, and instantly recognisable as a Santos from every angle.
The graduated blue sunburst dial is the defining feature of this reference, shifting from a vivid, luminous blue at the centre to a deeper, richer tone towards the outer edge, with applied silver-toned Roman numeral hour markers and sword-shaped rhodium-finished hands coated with Super-LumiNova for excellent legibility in any light condition. A dial that is as fresh and contemporary as it is deeply rooted in Cartier's design heritage.
Powering the watch is the Cartier Calibre 1847 MC, a reliable in-house automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve, water resistant to 100 metres and fitted with Cartier's QuickSwitch interchangeability system for effortless strap changes.
