The Omega Speedmaster "First in Space", reference 310.30.40.50.06.001, pays tribute to the Speedmaster CK2998 worn by astronaut Wally Schirra aboard Mercury-Atlas 8 in 1962, the first Omega to leave Earth's atmosphere and the moment the Speedmaster's space legend truly began. This certified pre-owned example from 2026 is offered in mint condition and comes with its full original set, including inner and outer boxes, warranty cards, and booklet.
Crafted in stainless steel, the case measures 39mm, a slimmer and more vintage-inspired size than the classic Moonwatch that echoes the proportions of the early Speedmasters. Compact, balanced, and refreshingly easy to wear, it proves that a watch with this much history does not need to shout.
The blue dial gives the "First in Space" a fresh, vibrant personality while keeping the clean, highly legible chronograph layout that has defined the Speedmaster for generations. Classic sub-dials, crisp markers, and that unmistakable racing-meets-rocketry spirit, now with a splash of colour.
