The Omega Speedmaster “First Omega in Space” Commemorative Model, reference 310.30.40.50.06.001, pays tribute to the historic timepiece worn by astronaut Walter Schirra during the Sigma 7 mission in 1962. Faithfully inspired by the original CK 2998, this certified pre-owned luxury watch is presented in new condition and supplied as a full set with its original box and papers.
The watch features a 39.7 mm stainless steel case with straight lugs, offering vintage-correct proportions and a refined wrist presence. The grey-blue dial enhances its retro-inspired character, complemented by applied hour markers and classic alpha hands filled with luminous material for optimal legibility. The black tachymeter bezel reinforces the Speedmaster’s racing heritage while preserving the historic design language.
Powering the watch is the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 manual-winding movement. This METAS-certified in-house calibre ensures exceptional precision, resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, and a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. It combines traditional hand-wound chronograph architecture with modern anti-magnetic performance.
The stainless steel bracelet integrates seamlessly with the case, offering durability and a cohesive aesthetic.
