The Omega Speedmaster Professional Mission Apollo 16 reference 3597.19 is an exceptional certified pre-owned luxury watch, paying tribute to NASA’s Apollo 16 mission and Omega’s legendary role in space exploration. Part of the iconic Speedmaster Professional “Moonwatch” family, this limited-production model is highly sought after by collectors for its historical significance and distinctive dial design.
Crafted in a 42 mm stainless steel case, the watch retains the classic asymmetrical Speedmaster profile with twisted lugs and a tachymeter bezel, ensuring instant recognisability. The standout feature of this model is its silver dial, adorned with a detailed Apollo 16 mission patch at 9 o’clock, replacing the traditional running seconds sub-dial. The remaining chronograph counters at 3 and 6 o’clock provide a balanced and functional layout, while luminous hands and hour markers guarantee excellent legibility.
Powering this timepiece is the legendary Omega calibre 1861, a manually wound chronograph movement derived from the calibre 861. Renowned for its robustness and precision, this movement offers a 48-hour power reserve and is historically linked to the watches worn by astronauts during lunar missions. Although not COSC-certified, the calibre 1861 is celebrated for its reliability and enduring performance.
This pre-owned luxury watch is presented in very good condition and is offered as a full set, including its original Omega box and papers. The stainless steel bracelet is well preserved, reflecting careful ownership.
