The Omega Speedmaster “Moon to Mars”, reference 3577.50, is a distinctive variation of the legendary Speedmaster Moonwatch, celebrating Omega’s deep connection with space exploration beyond the Moon. Housed in a 42 mm stainless steel case, this model retains the classic asymmetrical Speedmaster profile with crown guards, staying true to the iconic Moonwatch design. The black dial features the traditional tri-compax chronograph layout with recessed sub-dials, luminous hour markers, and hands for excellent legibility. What sets this edition apart is the red “Mars” inscription within the chronograph seconds sub-dial, a subtle yet meaningful detail symbolising Omega’s vision of future space missions.
Powering the watch is the renowned Omega Calibre 1861, a manual-winding chronograph movement directly descended from the calibre used in the Speedmasters worn during NASA missions. Celebrated for its robustness and reliability, this movement offers an approximate 48-hour power reserve and remains a cornerstone of the Speedmaster’s enduring legacy.
The watch is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet, providing comfort, durability, and a timeless aesthetic. A hesalite crystal protects the dial, staying faithful to the original Moonwatch specifications and enhancing the watch’s historical authenticity.
