The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional, reference 311.30.42.30.01.005, is one of the most iconic chronographs in the history of Swiss watchmaking. Known worldwide as the legendary “Moonwatch,” the Speedmaster became famous as the first watch worn on the Moon during the Apollo missions. This model preserves the historic design and traditional manual-winding architecture that have defined the Speedmaster Professional for decades. This certified pre-owned luxury watch is offered in very good condition and is supplied as watch only.
The watch features the classic 42 mm stainless steel case that has long characterised the Speedmaster Professional line. Its asymmetrical case design was originally developed to protect the crown and chronograph pushers, reinforcing the tool-watch heritage of the model. The watch is paired with a stainless steel bracelet that complements the robust construction while providing comfort and durability for everyday wear.
The black dial delivers the instantly recognizable Speedmaster aesthetic, featuring the traditional tri-compax chronograph layout with subdials for small seconds, a 30-minute counter, and a 12-hour chronograph counter. Applied hour markers and hands filled with Super-LumiNova ensure excellent legibility, while the tachymeter bezel allows the measurement of average speeds.
Powering the watch is the Omega Calibre 1861 manual-winding chronograph movement. This reliable and historically significant movement is directly derived from the calibre used in the Speedmasters worn during NASA’s Apollo missions. It offers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours and remains highly respected for its durability and precision.
