The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona "Panda", reference 116500LN, is the first Daytona ever produced with a Cerachrom ceramic bezel, introduced at Baselworld 2016 and immediately recognised as a landmark reference that transformed the Daytona's identity for a new generation of collectors. This certified pre-owned example from 2023 is one of the final examples produced before the reference was succeeded by the 126500LN, offered in good condition, never polished, and comes with its full original set, including box, papers, and all original accessories.
Crafted entirely in stainless steel with a black Cerachrom ceramic bezel, the 116500LN presents the Cosmograph Daytona in a commanding 40mm round case measuring 12.4mm in height. The ceramic bezel, engraved with a tachymeter scale and filled with platinum-coloured PVD coating, is scratch-resistant and fade-proof, and retains its factory alternating brushed and polished surfaces in their original, unrestored state. For collectors who understand the value of original case finishing, a never-polished example of this calibre is a rare and significant find.
The white matte "Panda" dial is clean, purposeful, and deeply collectible, with three contrasting black chronograph subdials for small seconds, 30 minutes, and 12 hours, applied stick and dot hour markers, and clean stick hands delivering outstanding legibility at every glance. The classic "Panda" configuration that remains one of the most immediately desirable Daytona dial layouts in any generation of the reference.
Powering the watch is the Rolex Calibre 4130, the entirely in-house automatic chronograph movement featuring a column wheel, vertical clutch, and a generous 72-hour power reserve. One of the finest chronograph movements ever produced at any price.
The watch is fitted with the Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock safety clasp and Easylink comfort extension system, offering effortless fine adjustment of up to 5mm for the perfect fit at any time.
