The Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea "James Cameron", reference 126660, is the most dramatic and visually arresting variant of the world's most technically extreme dive watch, its iconic D-Blue dial a direct tribute to director and explorer James Cameron's record-breaking solo dive to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in 2012, 10,908 metres below the surface of the Pacific Ocean. This certified pre-owned example from 2021 is offered in very good condition and comes with its full original set, including box, papers, and all original accessories.
Crafted in a combination of Oystersteel and titanium, the 126660 presents the Deepsea in its commanding 44mm case measuring 17.7mm in height, housing Rolex's patented Ringlock System rated to an extraordinary 3,900 metres of water pressure. The unidirectional rotatable bezel with its black Cerachrom ceramic insert and the triple-waterproofness system complete a case that is as much a feat of engineering as a timepiece.
The D-Blue dial is the centrepiece of this reference, transitioning from a deep, inky black at 12 o'clock to a rich ocean blue at 6 o'clock in a gradient that evokes the descent from total darkness to the deep sea with extraordinary visual impact. Large Chromalight-filled Mercedes hands and hour markers, and a date display at 3 o'clock magnified by Rolex's iconic Cyclops lens, complete a dial that is as functional as it is spectacular.
Powering the watch is the Rolex Calibre 3235, one of the most advanced in-house movements in the industry, featuring a Chronergy escapement, Parachrom hairspring, and a 70-hour power reserve.
The watch is fitted with the Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock safety clasp and Glidelock extension system, offering easy adjustment for wear over a diving suit or for daily comfort.
