The Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea “James Cameron”, reference 136660, is the ultimate expression of Rolex’s diving expertise, its gradient dial a tribute to the filmmaker’s historic 2012 solo dive to the bottom of the Mariana Trench. This certified pre-owned example from 2025 is offered in mint condition and comes with its full original set, including inner and outer box, warranty card, booklets with card holder, and tag.
Crafted in Oystersteel, the 136660 features an imposing 44mm Oyster case built around Rolex’s Ringlock system, paired with a unidirectional rotatable bezel fitted with a black Cerachrom ceramic insert and a helium escape valve on the case side. Water resistant to 3,900 metres, this certified luxury watch is ready for depths most of us will only ever see on a cinema screen.
The dial is the famous D-blue, fading from deep blue to pitch black just like the light as you descend into the abyss. Large luminescent hour markers and Mercedes hands deliver exceptional legibility, while the green “DEEPSEA” signature adds a subtle nod to the expedition that inspired it. Dramatic, purposeful, and impossible to mistake for anything else.
Powering the watch is the Rolex Calibre 3235, a self-winding in-house movement featuring a Chronergy escapement and a Parachrom hairspring for outstanding precision, reliability, and a 70-hour power reserve. Built for pressure, in every sense.
The watch is fitted with the Oyster bracelet in Oystersteel with an Oysterlock safety clasp and Rolex’s Glidelock extension system, complemented by the Fliplock extension link for easy wear over even the thickest wetsuit.
