The Tudor Black Bay, reference 79230N, is the modern heir to Tudor's legendary diving heritage, a watch that took the spirit of the brand's 1950s Submariners and gave it a full in-house manufacture heart. This certified pre-owned example from 2020 is offered in very good condition and comes with its full original set, including inner and outer box and warranty card.
Crafted in stainless steel, the 79230N sits on a bold 41mm case with a unidirectional rotating dive bezel fitted with a black insert and 60-minute graduations, a sapphire crystal and a closed caseback. Strong shoulders, vintage proportions and a presence that fills the wrist without ever shouting.
The black dial keeps things beautifully legible, with luminous stick and dot hour markers and Tudor's signature snowflake hands, the angular design that has been the brand's dive watch calling card for decades. Instantly recognisable from across the room.
Powering the watch is the Tudor Calibre MT5602, an in-house automatic movement with chronometer certification, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a generous 70-hour power reserve. Take it off on Friday, put it back on Monday, and it is still running.
The watch is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp, finishing off a certified luxury watch that is as happy on a boat as it is at the office.
