The Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Barakuda, reference 5008B-1130-B52A, is one of the most desirable limited editions to emerge from the Fifty Fathoms family in recent years, a watch steeped in vintage dive watch culture and produced in just 500 pieces worldwide. This certified pre-owned example from 2019 is offered in excellent condition and comes with its full original set, including box, papers, and all original accessories.
Crafted in stainless steel, the 5008B-1130-B52A presents the Fifty Fathoms in a beautifully proportioned 40.3mm case, water resistant to an impressive 300 metres and finished with Blancpain's signature unidirectional rotating bezel that gives the Barakuda its purposeful, tool-watch character. Compact enough to feel elegant, robust enough to mean business at any depth.
The black dial is clean and deeply legible, with stick and dot hour markers and syringe-style hands that are both visually distinctive and practically outstanding in low light conditions. A dial that takes inspiration from Blancpain's own archival references and wears it with complete confidence.
Powering the watch is the Blancpain Calibre 1151, an in-house automatic movement visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, delivering reliable precision and the exceptional finishing quality expected from one of Switzerland's most storied manufactures.
The watch is delivered on its original Tropic-style rubber strap, a deliberate nod to the vintage dive watch straps of the 1960s and a detail that collectors of the genre will recognise and appreciate immediately.
