The Tudor Black Bay GMT, reference 79830RB, is the watch that proved Tudor had truly arrived as a serious manufacture, delivering an in-house GMT movement at a price point that left the competition scrambling for answers. This certified pre-owned example from 2019 is offered in very good condition and comes with its full original set, including box, papers, and all original accessories.
Crafted entirely in stainless steel, the 79830RB presents the Black Bay GMT in a beautifully resolved 41mm round case with the collection's signature domed bezel, this time fitted with a bidirectional rotating insert in the iconic "Pepsi" red and blue aluminium configuration. A colour combination with a heritage stretching back to 1955, worn here with the confident ease that only Tudor can bring to a vintage-inspired design.
The black dial is clean and purposeful, with Tudor's signature Snowflake hands, luminescent stick and dot hour markers, and the essential additional 24-hour GMT hand for simultaneous tracking of a second time zone. A date display completes a dial that delivers everything a serious traveller's watch should, without a single unnecessary element.
Powering the watch is the Tudor Manufacture Calibre MT5652, an in-house automatic movement COSC certified for chronometric precision, featuring a silicon balance spring, a 70-hour power reserve, and the same level of in-house credibility that watch enthusiasts once only associated with considerably more expensive brands.
The watch is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet with Tudor folding clasp, water resistant to 200 metres and built for daily use without hesitation.
