The Breitling AVI Ref. 765 1953 Re-Edition, reference AB0920131B1X1, is a historically faithful revival of the original 1953 Co-Pilot chronograph. Produced in a limited series of 1,953 pieces worldwide, this model pays tribute to Breitling’s pioneering role in aviation chronographs. This certified pre-owned luxury watch is presented in very good condition and is accompanied by its original box and papers.
The watch features a 41 mm stainless steel case, carefully proportioned to reflect the dimensions and design language of the original 1953 reference. The black dial is clean and highly legible, with luminous Arabic numerals, contrasting chronograph sub-dials, and vintage-inspired detailing that reinforces its aviation heritage. The domed sapphire crystal preserves the retro aesthetic while providing modern scratch resistance.
Powering this timepiece is the Breitling Manufacture Calibre B09, a manually wound in-house chronograph movement. COSC-certified for chronometric precision, this column-wheel calibre offers an impressive power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The manual winding mechanism enhances the historical authenticity of the watch, staying true to the spirit of the original 1953 model.
The watch is fitted with a high-quality leather strap that complements the stainless steel case and vintage-inspired dial, enhancing its classic pilot watch character. In very good overall condition, the case and strap show only light signs of wear consistent with careful ownership.
