The Rolex GMT-Master II, reference 116710LN, is the all-black stealth GMT that introduced Rolex's Cerachrom ceramic bezel technology to the sport watch line when it launched in 2007, and that has maintained a devoted following among collectors who appreciate its clean, monochromatic character above all others. This certified pre-owned example from 2010 is offered in good condition, with a light scratch on the sapphire crystal, and comes with its full original set, including box, papers, and all original accessories.
Crafted entirely in Oystersteel, the 116710LN features a robust 40mm Oyster case paired with a bidirectional rotatable bezel fitted with an all-black Cerachrom ceramic insert, the first ceramic bezel ever offered on a GMT-Master II. Scratch-resistant, fade-proof, and entirely devoid of colour contrast, this is a GMT that announces itself through presence alone rather than palette.
The black Maxi dial is sharp and purposeful, with Chromalight-filled luminescent hour markers, Mercedes hands, a distinctive green GMT hand, and the iconic additional 24-hour display for simultaneous tracking of a second time zone. Everything black, everything coherent, and the green GMT hand providing the only hint of colour that this reference needs. The "Stick II" printing on the dial is the kind of detail that separates those who truly know their Rolex references from those who are still learning.
Powering the watch is the Rolex Calibre 3186, a highly accomplished in-house automatic movement featuring a Parachrom hairspring for outstanding resistance to magnetic fields and shocks, and a 48-hour power reserve. The definitive GMT movement of its generation.
